Built to thrive come rain, snow or shine, as our vans are fully insulated with 3M Thinsulate and Reflectics, as well as accoustic foam and tweed fabric on the walls making vanlife more comfortable than ever. Our floors are built with R6 insulation as well. Moreover, we add off-grid heating and air conditioning to our stunning builds. Typically we like to fit the van with all season, mountain snowflake safety rated tires to give you the best traction possible both on and off the road.

The strength of 80/20 extruded aluminum framing ties in nicely with the beautiful custom woodworking, making for a clean, strong, yet homey feel. Our woodwork is second to none! We use solid hardwood for the cabinet and drawer fronts and our drawers are built with 1/2" nine ply baltic birch and solid, fully slotted 1/2" plywood bottoms for the bases. All fitted with sleek and functional pulls, gas struts, and bullet latches. We also like to protect all the corners and edges with angle aluminum keeping the structure safe, strong, and protected from all the little things that may bump along the way.

Hit the backcountry with comfort, as our vans boast large Lithium battery banks, alongside ample solar, dc-dc charging, and shore power connections to top it all off before and after you hit the dirt roads. We also only use top-of-the-line components and marine grade wiring with lots of redundancy in breakers, fuses, and solid connections to insure it all works as expected.

Camping is more comfortable than ever, as our vans have rear air conditioning above the queen-sized bed, multiple awning windows with ceiling fan for airflow. Lay back and relax enjoying the handcrafted workmanship while sipping a cold drink out of the fridge, or wash up with hot water at the sink or outdoor shower / gear wash. Our design / build process, quality of materials, and top-of-the-line appliances and components is the envy of others and peace-of-mind for yourself.

Complete with a huge garage and storage everywhere you will have plenty of room for all the toys and gear for your outdoor adventures. The overhead cabinet stretches from the front of the van to the back with 3 cupboards in the kitchen and two huge ones over the bed. The kitchen has many oversized drawers for all the necessities and things you just cannot live without.

These vans are thoroughly over built with no expenses saved. We overkill everything so you don't have to worry about anything! We purchase our vans from the manufacturer insuring that they always have a transferable extended warranty and back our portion of the build with a 1 year builder guarantee.

The van's framing is completed using (80/20) extruded aluminum insuring a rock solid frame that is as durable as it gets. This high value framing is structurally sound, light weight, super strong, and literally bolted together and to the vehicle. This system fastened together with heavy duty brackets and bolts and will not fall apart, delaminate, or rot as happens with screw and glue plywood construction.

Not only does the van have multiple layers of insulation on all sides, they now come with the highly sought after off-grid Dometic RTX 2,000 air conditioner, the tried and true Espar heater that runs off your diesel fuel tank, and a Maxxair fan that will pull or push air through multiple awning windows throughout the van.

Build Warranty
Rock Solid Vans is proud to offer a one year warranty on our builds. This includes a recommended six month check-in, where we meticulously go through the build to insure that everything is working properly.
